My name is Nicole Casey; I am currently attending Cerritos College. I am working on completing the Speech Language Assistant program. After completion I will be looking to get into Loyola Mary Mount for Speech Pathology. I became interested in volunteering for Pasadena City Child Development Associates because I wanted to get the experience in working with children who have disabilities.
The environment that PCDA provides for the children is just simply amazing. I am the Co-Chair committee member for all volunteers at PCDA my duties entail making a comfortable setting for volunteers, and attending to any of their needs. I support the community events and fair preparation that PCDA conducts. Most importantly I make sure concerns and suggestions the volunteers have are acknowledged. My accomplishment for PCDA is to get the fundamentals, and understanding PCDA has to offer. PCDA is a great place to volunteer the staff and patients are very friendly and so much fun to be with.
