Meredith Hill, BA

Meredith Hill is a Developmental Interventionist and Social Skills Facilitator at PCDA, working in the SEDI, Building Blocks, and Social Skills programs. Her passion for working with children began at a young age and directed her to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent Development and her minor in Spanish from California State University at Northridge.

While in college, Meredith completed a six month internship for the Los Angeles Police Department. She worked in the Juvenile Division, working closely with Detectives and officers in the Child Abuse, Child Sexual Abuse, Child Homicide, and ICAC (internet crimes against children) units. Exposure to police procedures regarding child safety, working in the field and assisting officers and victims, observing police interrogations of suspects, and completing a myriad of police trainings regarding child laws were all a part of her extensive training.

Prior to joining PCDA, Meredith worked as a preschool teacher for a Montessori based school in Alhambra. While she loved teaching, she wished to work with children in a more clinical capacity. She subsequently completed her practicum in Child Life at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). At CHLA Meredith worked with children and families in the hematology/oncology department as well as the endocrinology/pulmonary unit. It was there where Meredith first became passionate about helping children and families through some of life’s most difficult challenges.

Meredith is passionate about working with children with special needs and her practice is devoted to the joy of developmental, play-based intervention.
