
Melissa has her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and her Master's Degree in Educational Administration, both received from California State University, Los Angeles. Working with children for over 20 years, Melissa has worked with both private and public agencies throughout her career. Early in her career, Melissa was a teacher responsible for developing and implementing the curriculum for the new Kindergarten program. Prior to joining PCDA she worked with Head Start/State Preschools as an Education and a Disabilities Coordinator. She worked with over 6 school districts supporting children with disabilities and special needs mainstream into the program as well as transitioning into and out of Head Start. Melissa has been with PCDA for over 6 years and supervises the community based programs as well as Social Skills Training. She additionally has been trained in PECS and Infant Massage.
