Juliana Rocha, NMT, MT-BC
Juliana Rocha, NMT, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist who has been working with children with special needs for the past several years in the Los Angeles area. Juliana received her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from California State University Northridge, graduating with Highest Honors, receiving an outstanding Music Therapy Student Award and the Western Region American Music Therapy Association Internship Scholarship, amongst others. Juliana received her clinical training at MusicWorx of California, an agency serving special needs children and adults as well as children and adult inpatients in the medical setting with various needs. While working in the medical setting, Juliana developed and implemented a Music Therapy Chronic Pain Program at the Pain Clinic at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Juliana also worked with the San Diego school district using musical experiences for children to accomplish learning new ways to communicate and relate to others.While working at PCDA Juliana developed the Adapted Music Lessons program, amongst various music workshops, Head Start trainings and conferences. Juliana is currently in the process of becoming DIR®/FloortimeTM certified. Her mission at PCDA is to empower and serve families and children with various needs through musical experiences.
