Daryl Synowiec developed affection for music at an early age, which grew into a desire to use this passion with children and families. She later accepted a scholarship to the University of Miami School of Music, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology. Upon graduation, Daryl completed her internship program and became a Board-Certified Music Therapist in 2004.
In Los Angeles, Daryl worked for several years using music with families, infants, toddlers and teenagers and as an Interventionist for children with Autism in both school and in-home settings. To expand her knowledge of both child development and the family system, Daryl attended a Master of Arts program in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, graduating in 2009. Through this education, Daryl has been a counselor to children and families, gaining experience to become a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Currently, Daryl is a full-time Child and Family Specialist and Music Therapist at Pasadena Child Development Associates, Inc. (PCDA) in Pasadena, California. She is a registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern through the California Board of Behavioral Science. Daryl is committed to supporting children and families with various needs, focusing on communicating, relating and building relationships within the family. On the weekends, Daryl and her husband enjoy exploring the beauty of California through hiking and trips to the beach.
