Anne joined the PCDA staff as a Speech-Language Pathologist in January 2006. She particularly enjoys working with children who have autism and their families, using children’s interests and areas of strength as a foundation for improved communication. Anne’s areas of interest include Executive Function and word-finding challenges.
Specialized training includes: It Takes Two to Talk and Learning Language and Loving It through the Hanen Centre, Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking through Lindamood-Bell, Introductory PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) workshop, and DIR/ Floortime training as a staff member at PCDA.
She has a background in Early Childhood Education, having worked as a teacher and administrator for eight years prior to her training in speech pathology. She graduated from California State University at Northridge with an M.S. in Communication Disorders, and also holds an M.A. in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, as well as a B.A. in Psychology from Pomona College.
