Pasadena Child Development Associates, Inc. (PCDA) is pleased to offer free Speech, Language and Hearing Screenings in conjunction with the Language, Speech and Hearing Center at California State University at Northridge (CSUN). A screening is designed to identify children who show signs of speech, language and/or hearing difficulties, so that they may be further assessed and provided with therapy, if appropriate.
A Speech-Language Pathologist from Pasadena Child Development Associates, Inc. (PCDA) will be coordinating the screenings. The CSUN Language, Speech and Hearing Center (LSHC) is a non-profit, university-based clinical facility on the CSUN campus in the San Fernando Valley. The Center has been providing comprehensive diagnosis and therapeutic services to children and adults with communication disorders since 1960.
The screening will be provided by a certified, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist from PCDA, along with upper division Baccalaureate and Master's level students from CSUN who are in training to become professional speech/language or hearing specialists. The students work under the direct supervision of faculty supervisors who have professional certification and are licensed by the State of California.
