Pasadena Child Development Associates, Inc. offers "behavioral intervention" services as a special education service Certified NPA (Non-Public Agency) to public schools for children 3-12 years of age.
PCDA uses a DIR-FloortimeTM approach to behavioral intervention. A child may be seen at home or at school. A developmental interventionist will be assigned to work with a child from 2-10 hours per week, according to his/her IEP (Individual Education Plan).
Behavioral intervention is used to help a child learn new skills to use in play, social interactions, and daily activities.
