Adoption Counseling & Support Services
PCDA’s Adoption Counseling & Support Services specialize in screenings, assessments and ongoing services to support families who have adopted a child. Our team of specialists, under the direction of Daryl Synowiec, M.A., IMF, MT-BC and Dr. LaJoi Johnson-Huff, Psy.D. are uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive services tailored to the individual needs of each child and family.
At PCDA, all children are linked to other members of the PCDA team. The Adoption Counseling & Support Services team is comprised of: Psychologists & Mental Health Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Dietitians and a Developmental Pediatrician
Adoption Counseling & Support Services include:
- Screenings
- Assessments
- Play Therapy for young children
- Parent-Child Interactive Conjoint Therapy
- Family counseling
- Parent psychoeducation
- Parent to Parent Mentoring
