PCDA hit by  cuts!

With the recent California budget, PCDA will have additional 1.25% across the board cut in payments for regional center services, in addition to the 3% levied last year.  This latest cut is retroactive to July 1, 2010.  PCDA needs the support of our generous donors, now more than ever!

It Takes Two To Talk

Speech

PCDA's Speech and Language Department is gearing up to start another It Takes Two to Talk® - The Hanen Program® parent class in January! 

 

This class is an 11-week course for parents of children with expressive and/or receptive language delays. The course will be offered on Thursday evenings at 7pm at PCDA.

 

This course provides parents with the focused opportunity to learn, reflect and discuss how to apply the information they have learned to help their own child.

Harvest Moon

Saturday, October 23rd

PCDA had a very successful Harvest Moon benefit on Saturday October 23.  This included a tour of the historic Adena Mansion, followed by a gourmet meal and program.

AuctionPCDA is gearing up for our 2nd Annual On-Line Auction from:

Greeting Card Art Contest Winners!

A BIG thank you to all the children who submitted their beautiful masterpieces for our Greeting Card Art Contest!  We were so excited to have received over 20 design submissions and were overwhelmed by the creativity shown by the children of PCDA.

Winter Theater

Creative Arts LogoChildren ages 7-17 enter the world of imagination through PCDA's Summer Theater Workshop.

 

Children create their own dramas and design all aspects of a performance including script, costumes, set design, sound and videography.  Exercises in improvisation help build skills in emotional communication and dramatic expression.

When: Dec. 27-31 (Monday - Friday) 9 am - 3 pm

 Cost: $400 for the workshop

The Creative Arts Department is gearing up for their annual Holiday Recital.  This year there will be two different recitals:
