College bound!
We are pleased to announce that one of our very own Teen Club members, Wesley Litwak, has just been accepted into college. He will be attending Cal Poly Pomona in the fall and majoring in Chemistry with and emphasis on Biochemistry. He has been awarded a Cal Grant to help finance his college education. When he announcement his college acceptance to his peers in Teen Club just a few weeks back, the crowd erupted in cheer. They congratulated him with kind words of encouragement, high fives, and hugs. He serves as a peer model for others in or Teen Club program and is evidence that they too can go to college. We are all very proud of his accomplishment!

PCDA receives grant funding!
PCDA receives gifts from local foundations!
PCDA was proud to be the recipient of a grant from the CIBA Foundation this past month. CIBA's gift assisted PCDA in completing the funding necessary for the Augmentative and Alternative Communications (AAC) Center for children with special needs who are unable to speak, produce sounds or adequately control their bodies to express themselves and communicate. Our equipment has been ordered, we'll soon be able to provide this exciting new service to our client families!

Also received last month was a grant from the Pasadena Showcase House to support PCDA's Music Therapy program. The Music Therapy program is now funded in part by a grant from the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, a new supporter of PCDA. Thank you!
